| This is Tate's new bubble-blowing face |
Yesterday morning, Josh got a message on Facebook from his cousin Joey telling him he was going to have a booth in the farmers market at Pioneer Park. He told Josh, "I have pictures of dark people," so of course we couldn't resist. It was really fun.
The park just got renovated and a splash pad was put in, and every Saturday they host a farmers market. They have food, clothes, produce, artwork, people playing music, jewelry...it's really fun. So Josh, Tate, and I made our way over the Joey's booth. Josh's cousins were there so we talked with them for a while.
I had jogged around the park during the farmers market the week before and I saw a booth with really cute baby girl clothes. Josh's brother and his brother's wife (Nathan and Sarah) are having a baby girl in November. So while we were there yesterday, we stopped over at that booth. We found the cutest skirt! Nathan and Sarah like to match the color schemes of their outfits on Sunday and I think this skirt will fit right in. We didn't have any money on us, so we asked them to hold it for us and Josh went back later and bought it. We eventually had to leave cause Tate was ready for a nap.
We spent the afternoon at Josh's family's house. It was so nice and cool. We listened to music and read and ate dinner. Tate slept okay. I think he is going through a growth spurt because last night he went to sleep at 7 and woke up to eat at 9, 12, 1:45. 4, 6, and finally we were up and ready for the day this morning around 6:40. It was a long night. I read online that some babies have a growth spurt right before they reach 5 months, which makes sense for Tate.
Tate was really perfecting his bubble-blowing skills last night. Except he sucks in his bottom lip and then tries to blow the bubbles. It is so funny. He was doing it for a long time yesterday. When he does it, he builds up a reservoir of spit under his chin, which eventually drips down onto the person holding him. He was talking a ton and also shoving his entire fist into his mouth, and sometimes both talking and shoving his fist into his mouth at the same time.
Today at Church he did great! He ate well, played well, talked a ton, and eventually fell asleep well. During Sunday School he was talking really loud and was showing everyone how he can blow bubbles. It was a great day.
